About the Artist: Sir David Young Cameron (1865–1945)

Sir David Young Cameron was a world-renowned Scottish painter and etcher. Born and raised in Glasgow, he was also schooled at The Glasgow Academy, a very short walk indeed from Eusebi's today! A leading figure in the British Etching Revival, he was celebrated for his ability to capture the "spirit of place." Whether depicting the rugged Highlands of Scotland or the historic architecture of Italy and France, Cameron’s work is defined by its atmospheric light and superb draftsmanship. His etchings are held in prestigious collections worldwide, including the British Museum and the Tate.
